The DualSense Edge is Sony’s official high-end controller for the PS5 console. It offers pro-level features like grips, adjustable analog sticks, mappable rear buttons, profiles, and more. They’re very useful for gamers who invest time into esports or enjoy playing competitive games like first person shooters and fighting games.
One of the most important features of any pro controller are the thumbsticks and triggers. The sticks on the DualSense Edge are interchangeable; you can choose domed or convex replacements that come in two different heights. If your analog sticks crap out, you can buy replacements for $19.99. The DualSense Edge comes standard with traditional potentiometer-based analog sticks, but some third party manufacturers now make aftermarket TMR versions.
There are also two sets of interchangeable back buttons that can be mapped to any button on the DualSense Edge controller. For Grand Theft Auto 6, the paddle switches might be used for weapon switching, sprinting or rolling in firefights, braking during car chases, or other actions that might normally force you to take your thumbs of the sticks.
