If you’ve been interested in the Google TV Streamer 4K, then now might be the time to strike. This minimalist streaming box is on sale right now for $74.99 for Prime Day.
The Google TV Streamer 4K matches its lowest price ever on Amazon during the company’s multi-day Prime Day sale, making it a perfect time to snag this popular streaming device. Both the Porcelain and Haze color variants are included, too, so you can pick the one that best suits your room aesthetic.
Note that the Google TV Streamer 4K requires an HDMI 2.1 cable, which is sold separately, so you’ll need to spend a bit more for one of those to get things up and running. However, during Prime Day, you can find a variety of HDMI 2.1 cables for sale from brands like UGREEN or Amazon’s own Amazon Basics.
Despite this small hiccup, the Google TV Streamer 4K is a solid streaming box that offers easy access to all of your favorite streaming services, and even live TV, in 4K resolution. With a 22% faster processor and twice the memory (32GB) of its predecessor, it features quicker navigation and more space to store apps and other data.
Like other top-shelf models, the Google Streamer 4K can stream at up to 4K resolution in HDR, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+ formats. Although it’s equipped with an HDMI 2.1 port, it’s limited to 4K @ 60Hz refresh rate. The Google Streamer does, however, support Dolby Atmos if you pair it with Atmos-compatible speakers like the Sonos Arc.
Even cooler, it pairs very well with other Google devices, such as your Pixel Buds or Pixel phone. And since the Pixel 10 Pro is on sale for Prime Day as well, maybe it’s a good time to go all-in on the ever-expanding Google ecosystem.
Is there a cheaper 4K alternative?
If you want something more affordable, the Amazon Fire TV Stick Max is a great alternative for about half the price during Prime Day. It includes 4K streaming, support for Dolby Atmos, and will even let you play Xbox games if you have the proper subscription. The latest Fire TV stick model was released back in 2023 but remains one of the best streaming devices available.
