Bend Studio's next PlayStation title reported for 2027 reveal and launch
A new report says the Days Gone studio's next PlayStation exclusive will be shown and shipped within the same year. No title, genre or specific date has surfaced.
Sony's Bend Studio is reportedly at work on its next PlayStation exclusive, and a new report says the game will be announced in 2027 and released that same year. Eurogamer published the claim on 3 November, identifying the studio through its work on Days Gone. Sony has not commented on the report.
A reveal and a launch in one year
The interesting part of the claim is the schedule, not the game. Announcing and shipping inside the same year leaves a short gap between the first public look and the moment the title is on sale, which puts unusual weight on a single reveal. If the report holds, the first trailer will have to carry a job that is normally spread across several years of teases.
What the report leaves open
There is no title, no genre, no setting and no date beyond the year itself, so the 2027 window is the only concrete marker to work with. It also rests on a single report rather than a confirmed announcement. For a studio that draws less attention than Sony's largest teams, a compressed rollout means the reveal has to establish the project from nothing, with no long build-up to lean on.
