The original score for Fallout Season 2 is getting a limited-edition vinyl release this summer.
Composed by three-time Grammy nominee Ramin Djawadi, best known for his work on Game of Thrones and Westworld, the soundtrack will be released as a 2LP “gold/cobalt shimmer” vinyl set.
It’s up for preorder now via Amazon for $35.98, and it releases on July 17.
The release features 34 tracks from the second season, but notably doesn’t feature any of the retro classics that are now synonymous with the Fallout games and TV series. This was also the case with the OST for the first season.
The vinyl announcement arrives after Fallout Season 2 wrapped earlier this year, with Amazon already confirming that a third season is on the way. The show was renewed ahead of Season 2’s premiere, underscoring the confidence Amazon has in the adaptation’s long-term future.
Earlier this month, Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul was also confirmed to be joining the cast for Season 3, although details about his character remain under wraps. Paul previously worked with Fallout executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy on Westworld.
For those looking to watch the latest season at home without a Prime membership, the good news is that Amazon has recently released the second season on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
The wildely popular “Steelbook Edition” is also now back in stock for $53.99.
We’ve got plenty more on Fallout, including our Fallout Season 2 finale review, and an explainer on how the post-credits scene at the end of Fallout Season 2 teases something huge from the games.
Oh, and here’s what that Amazon Fallout countdown turned out to be.
In other vinyl news, The Mandalorian and Grogu is also getting a limited edition vinyl release for its OST, with the special edition even featuring Mandalorian helmet-shaped die-cut picture disc.
