Magic: The Gathering is kicking off its Marvel Super Heroes set next month, but before it’s even landed, there are discounts to be had on Jumpstart packs for the new set.
Amazon is offering a box of 24 Jumpstart packs for $115.99, meaning you’re saving 31% by buying them now, and the price per pack is dropping from $6.99 to $4.83.
MTG Jumpstart Packs Are Great, Especially At This Price
Let’s get the bad news out of the way: You probably won’t find expensive chase cards or alternate art treatments in Jumpstart packs. Those are traditionally reserved for Collector Boosters, which are not only much more expensive but, sadly, out of stock.
Still, Jumpstart packs contain 20 cards (including lands) that fit within one of 51 available Marvel Super Hero themes.
The idea is that you open two packs, smash two themes together, and have a 40-card deck ready to play with friends. If you’re careful, you can even separate the cards out and run them again, mixing and matching your options.
A box like this would usually set you back $167, so going halves with a buddy and getting 12 packs each might be the best plan.
If you’re looking for a deal on the standard boosters, you’re in luck, as they’re also down to just $139.55 right now at Amazon.
That essentially means you’re each getting enough for 6 nifty decks to mess around with, with theming including Captain America, Hulk, Ant-Man, Loki, and more Marvel favorites.
