Don’t wait until Black Friday to score a great deal on some high quality earbuds. Amazon has dropped the price of the premium JBL Live Buds 3 noise canceling wireless earbuds from $200 all the way down to $91.99 with free shipping. That’s the best price I’ve seen all year and with such a big price drop, I don’t really expect to see it go down further during Black Friday. Although these earbuds work will with iPhones, it’s really designed for Android devices.

Probably the most visually obvious feature of the JBL Live Buds 3 is the smart charging case. A 1.45″ touchscreen display dominates its facade and allows you to control your audio and playback in lieu of taking out your smartphone. The charging case will also give you an additional 30 hours of playback on top of the ten hours of runtime on the earbuds.
The Live Buds 3 earbuds themselves feature 10mm dynamic drivers “powered by JBL Signature Sound”. Each earbud houses three microphones, so six in total. All six are used to enhance voice clarity while taking or receiving phone calls. Four of them also serve double duty of actively noise canceling ambient noise. The earbuds are rugged too thanks to an IP55 rated resistance to water and dust intrusion so you can use them while exercising.
Android users will benefit more from these earbuds than iOS users. The Live Buds 3 supports standard Google features like Google Fast Pair, Bluetooth Multi-Point with Google Audio Switch, and Google Finder. It also supports Bluetooth LE and Sony’s LDAC codec for improved audio quality. On the other end of the spectrum, the Live Buds 3 doesn’t support many iOS features since it isn’t equipped with an Apple H1 or H2 chip. It pairs with iPhones and does a good job of audio playback, but you’re missing out on a lot of quality of life features you would get with AirPods.
